How to Cook Asparagus

Very few people know how to cook asparagus the right way! Too mushy, too hard, bitter taste, not enough taste... Say no more! Chef will show you how! 

For starters, make sure that you are storing your asparagus in the fridge in a container with the stems in an inch of water. Glass is always better than plastic. As for cooking the asparagus, first remove the hard part of the stems. In a medium sized saucepan, add water and bring to a boil with a pinch of sea salt. Once the water starts to boil, add asparagus. When the water starts boiling again, remove the asparagus. This process is called blanching (pre-cooking). Now, you can eat the asparagus blanched (al-dente) or saute in a hot non-stick pan with oil, garlic and lemon juice (your own favorite spices).
