Maintaining your weight does not have to be
a struggle if you don’t want it to be. No one said that it was going to be easy
at first but with time it will become effortless. You have just got to want it.
That’s all! In life, you cannot control the people around you but you can
control yourself. You are the only one who can decide what you do and don’t do,
what you say and don’t say and what you wear and what you don’t wear. Nobody
can force you to do something that you don’t want to. The food that you choose
to fuel your body with is the same concept. There is no such thing as: I had no
choice… “The body achieves what the mind

I’m not going to lie, adopting a healthier
lifestyle after successfully completing a weight loss protocol is hard to grasp
at first. What do you mean it’s not over? All you probably want to do is dive
into a large pepperoni pizza to reward yourself for all your hard earned
success. Big no no! Why put all that hard work to shame? Have you learned
nothing during your diet? Yes, a diet is designed to help you lose weight but,
it is also designed to help you re-educate yourself on how to properly nourish
your body. Our bodies were never designed to digest highly processed and
chemically induced foods. You have already come this far, so why go back to
your old ways?  Do you love that new hot
sexy body? Guess what? You can keep it! But, you must continuously commit to the
new healthy you! Slowly but surely, you will notice that you will no longer
crave the bad food choices you once loved. A weight loss diet is temporary but
a healthy diet is forever!

There are many ways that you can choose to
maintain that new hot bod of yours. Here are some of my favorite tips that I
like to recommend to others:

Be Educated

Take initiative. Learn why you are doing
the “healthy” things you do. Don’t’ just do something because someone told you
it’s good for you. By gaining an interest in nutrition and exercise you will
feel knowledgeable and you will be able to justify the why in what you are

Be Consistent

Make nutrition and exercise part of your
daily routine. Every once and a while you will deviate from your path but that’s
normal! And it’s ok! it’s not going to kill you to have a ice cream cone now
and then.  Just don’t forget to get back
on track. Eventually, your healthier lifestyle will become as routine as taking
your daily shower.

Be Organized

It is important to stay organized even
after the protocol is over. You do so in your job so why not do the same with
your food? Make a schedule and plan ahead. Once a week decide on what you are
going to eat, how you are going to eat and where you are going to eat. Don’t
forget to include portion control and on the go snacks in your planning process
as well. 

Be active

Keep moving! Renew the gym membership, run
down the streets, hike the woods, do whatever you’d like but keep that heart
pumping! Don’t slow down, being active is a great way to get your body’s
juices’ flowing and it’s fun! Now that you are simply enjoying yourself (not
trying to lose weight) you may even meet a few people along the way!

 It’s about you

You are #1! You and your body have gone
through a lot and you deserve the best! Don’t let anyone take that from you.  Own your success!

Be positive

Ditch the excuses and the saboteurs! No one
ever succeeded with a Negative Nancy breathing down their necks. No matter what
the situation may be, find something positive to say about it and smile!

Nothing can bring you down! You go girl!
You got this! Now strut your stuff!
