Lamb is an excellent source of omega-3 fats which are proven to help reduce inflammation, fight against cancer and heart disease, and promotes good brain health. Compared to tuna, lamb has approximately 50% of the omega-3 fats, ounce-per-ounce.

Furthermore, about 40% of the fat that is in lamb consists of oleic acid which is a type of monounsaturated fat. This type of fat is actually linked to helping reduce the risk of heart disease.
