Did you know?

Capers are amazing, flavorful flower buds that get used as garnishes and ingredients in a number of recipes. Did you know they’re a great source for the flavonoids rutin and quercetin? That might not mean much at first glance, but these flavonoids are powerful antioxidants with anti-carcinogen, anti-bacteria, and analgesic properties. Plus, rutin helps strengthen blood vessels and can even help reduce bad cholesterol levels.

So make sure you include these little guys when you prepare fresh fish! They don’t just complement the flavor of seafood, they make sure you’re not missing out on these health benefits!
