1 Pound Scallops
1/3 Cup Olive oil
5 Garlic cloves, Grated
1 Large Lemon, Zested
1/4 Cup Italian seasoning
1/2 Tsp Sea salt, To taste
1/4 Tsp Black pepper
1/4 Tsp Red pepper flakes
Pat dry the scallops on paper towels then on medium, heat a large cast iron skillet.
Place the scallops in a medium-sized bowl and drizzle olive oil over them. Toss the scallops and then season them with sea salt, pepper, pepper flakes and paprika. Gently toss.
Drizzle olive oil into the skillet. Add scallops and sear them for approximately 2 minutes on each side using a small spatula. Make sure to flip them over individually. Cook until they turn a golden brown.
Add garlic and italian seasoning. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the garlic for 30 seconds.
Squeeze half a lemon over the scallops. Carefully shake the skillet to combine the ingredients together.

One cool fact is that scallops are able to swim by clapping their shells together quickly, propelling them forward. Also, they have approximately 60 eyes to detect light, dark and motion!
