Did you know?

Although Italy is known to be where lasagna first originated, did you know that lasagna claims at least three countries of origin?

Its name is derived from the Greek word “Laganon”, which is the word for the first known form of pasta during Ancient Greece. This proves that lasagna’s many layers of pasta and sauce were first being prepared in Greece.

Also, Britain also has claims to make about lasagna as well. Researchers found a cookbook dating back to the 1390’s, in which a lasagna recipe appears.

Finally, there is Italy, which although can’t prove to have invented lasagna as we know it, can definitely take credit for perfecting the many rich layers of tasty pasta and its melange of delicious ingredients.

As you can see, lasagna has had a long history throughout the ages; however, the best news is that all you need to do now is enjoy!
