We have all, at one point in our lives, came across a story that has affected us in a deeply emotional way. Whether it made us cry or made us angry, it touched us in a way that changed our outlook on life. For me, it was an extremely powerful film entitled: Food Inc.

A friend first introduced the film to me a couple of years ago. This woman had gorgeous hair and a flawless complexion and she swore that she did nothing to achieve this image other than eating a well balanced diet. I wanted her secret! I had told her that I had no intentions of being vegan (at the time) but I wanted to eat healthier. So, she suggested that I watch the film Food Inc. to get me started. Not thinking anything of it at the time or knowing what I was about to see, I decided to watch the documentary one Sunday afternoon. Little did I know that my life was about to change forever…

I absolutely loved it! A must see for all! The film shocked me, made me cry, made me angry and made me feel sick all at the same time. The film opened my eyes to the powerful truths of the American food supply, the inhumane treatment of factory farmed animals, the dangers of GMOs and why choosing a sustainable and ethical diet is so important to my health. I immediately decided to change my life and the way I eat. Permanently! This is where my journey towards a healthier lifestyle began. I started reading books, watching documentaries and researching the web. I just couldn’t get enough of the stuff! I was hooked!

Throughout my discoveries, I developed such a passion on the topic that I decided to shift my career to the health and wellness industry. Here I am today and I could not be any happier!

What was your motivation that led you to a healthier lifestyle? Do you have a film that changed your life as well?

FOOD INC.
“In Food, Inc., filmmaker Robert Kenner lifts the veil on our nation`s food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that has been hidden from the American consumer with the consent of our government`s regulatory agencies, USDA and FDA. Our nation`s food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment.”
